2010 ANNUAL STATISTICAL REPORT
The sewer system valuation as of December 31, 2010 is $67,536,179 of which $1,241,299 is the value of the original system, $42,425,837 is the value added by Authority projects, and $23,316,837 is the appraised value added by Developers. In 2010 the additions to the sewer system were $365,390 by Authority projects and $92,508 by land developers.
The Millcreek Township Supervisors also pay the Authority an annual amount equal to 1% of the valuation of the sewer system under a Sewer System Management Agreement. The monies are used for costs related to repairs and improvements to the sewer system. The amount paid in 2010 was $665,821. The amount to be paid to the Authority in 2011 is $669,840.
This Statistical Report covers annual operating experience of the Authority’s sewer system and combines information of the Township (for operation) and the Authority (for financing and construction). The Sewer Authority office staff consists of 9 full time and 1 part time personnel. This same staff also administers the Millcreek Township Water Authority and shares costs with the Water Authority. The Township sewer and water crew of 15 men and equipment operate the sewer and water systems.
